St. Patrick's Day Breakfast

St. Patrick's Day is the feast day of St. Patrick, who was a patron saint of Ireland, that is held on March 17th. You are supposed to hold a feast on this day by preparing dishes such as corned beef and cabbage and decorating with symbols such as leprechauns.

Living in the United States, the most famous leprechaun is that of Lucky Charms cereal. Here are some fun ideas in which you can have your kids start celebrating this Irish holiday. Here are some of the ingredients you will need:

- Waffle mix

-Lucky Charm marshmallows

-Bagels

-Whip Cream

-Fruit of your choice

The first breakfast idea will be a 4 leaf clover. You can make these by making 4 heart shaped waffles and adding green food dye to the mix. You can get these heart shaped waffles by making them on a heart dash waffle maker. Here is the link to the one I use: Waffle Maker from Amazon

Once you have finished assembling the heard shaped waffles, you can add syrup of your choice and sprinkle some lucky charm marshmallows.

The second breakfast idea I call "Rainbow Bagel." This is a bagel cut in half. You may toast it first or serve it cold. You will need to add cream cheese of your choice and add the fruit of your choice in the form of a rainbow pattern. I used whip cream as the clouds and sprinkled lucky charm marshmallows on top of them, but you can also use sprinkles.

How will you celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year?
